Colin Bootman is a Caribbean-born painter. He grew up in Trinidad and moved to New York City at the age of seven. His experiences in the brick-and-mortar reality of the Bronx fueled his deep passion for fine art. He gained international exposure as an award-winning children’s book illustrator and fine artist. His books and paintings reflect a wide array of subjects and themes. His work creates stunning observations on the African experience in early America, the civil rights movement, and iconic figures in Black history. The Caribbean culture is also a prominent theme throughout his catalog. He seeks to portray these subjects with a sense of honesty and dignity. Bootman enjoys painting the experiences of everyday people within their natural environments. He is also revered for capturing moments of triumph, courage, fear, shame, excitement, and melancholy. Samuel Dixon

Samuel Dixon is an abstract impressionist artist with an extensive portfolio.
